Anna Nicole SmithAnna Nicole Smith. Even after her death, there is something about Anna Nicole Smith that simply captivates me. I'm not sure if it is a morbid curiosity with the peculiar details of her life and subsequent overdose or the fact that the former playmate of the month actually worked with both Paul Newman and Steve Buscemi. I'd personally love to see the Steve Buscemi interview about meeting her....the irony of the guy known as the "funny-looking guy" from Fargo meeting the woman known for getting rich off of her beauty abounds.

Think about it. Anna Nicole Smith was basically the original gold-digger. She was probably the inspiration for series "Who wants to marry a millionaire?" only she chose her target more wisely by marrying a billionaire already at the end of his life.

Now, the details surrounding her death are now being investigated in a preliminary hearing. From the looks of things, she was in desperate shape before she died, and the people surrounding her gave her massive amounts of prescription medication in illegal doses. In fact, her boyfriend and her doctors are now being investigated for getting her the illicit prescriptions and the way things look, it's not going so well for them.
