The Jackson Clan and Their Tacky Reality TV Show
Jackson FamI’ll be honest. I was not a huge Michael Jackson fan. I loved “Thriller” and “Billie Jean” and admired the moonwalk more than I can truthfully say. In the later years of his youth, he got strange. Perhaps it began with the tragic hair-on-fire incident during the Pepsi commercial way back in the day, or maybe it was his embarrassment after his revelation on Oprah during the 90’s that he was a virgin, but I ceased to empathize with him. I failed to understand his friendship with Mcauley Culkin or why exactly they needed to share a bed for slumber parties.
None of this, however, excuses the actions of his real-life family since his death. Let the man rest in peace.
First, they made his funeral a very public and tacky event. I’m sorry, Jacksons, but I am for real and not so impressed with that.
And, now they are going through with a “tasteful reality tv show”. Is it just me or does anyone sense an oxymoron here? When I watch reality tv shows, I watch them exactly because they aren’t tasteful at all. Shouldn’t they be resting and keeping him out the limelight for once? Or at least avoid the tackiness.
I guess maybe they’re jealous of their brothers’ success, which is the over-glorified way of looking at that the situation. More than likely, they just want to capitalize on their brother’s death the same way they struggled to throughout his death. Either way, I am not sure. As for the rest of us, I think that we should remember that the man is dead, and deserves some respect from his family at the very least.
