Rappers are not typically known for their highly evolved attitude towards women, which is why the news that a female groupie who took delight in sleeping with and then mocking some of the more infamous rappers of the times was physically assaulted for her words was not all that surprising.
Kat Stacks, who can be seen in the embedded video below, was beaten up by apparent defenders of rappers Bow Wow and Fabulous. This is definitely yet another case where the retribution for the alleged incident does not fit the actual “crime” (and I definitely use the word "crime" loosely here). Kat Stacks was called a bitch and told repeatedly to apologize to the two rappers for the alleged offenses of “talking shit” about the two rappers as one man grabbed her hair.
On his Twitter site, the infamous Fabulous (who is not so Fabuloso in my opinion) is claiming that he didn’t arrange for her attack, but that it is KARMA, thus demonstrating his great attitude towards women and his limited understanding of the word Karma at the same time. Great job, Fabulous.
Of course, I may not be the intended audience as the comment thread was largely supportive of the rapper. Lil B, who is another lover of women (NOT) has released another great video (NOT) in tribute to Kat Stacks entitled, “Violate that Bitch”, which again demonstrates the attitude of forgiveness and love held by the hip hop community in general.
There is absolutely no excuse for this kind of behavior- if a woman talks smack, an appropriate response might just be talking smack back, NOT assaulting her or encouraging others to do so. Violence towards women needs to stop.
