Why am I writing about Larry King? I like the Larry King Show on CNN, a staple, and before that I liked Larry King's show on radio. Yes, he has been talking on TV and radio for so long, and looking and sounding so sensible, that lot of folks think that he is wise. Well he looks wise, doesn't he?
This a post is not about Larry King's show. It is another post about what people are talking about. One of the things people are talking about this morning is Larry King's divorce from his current wife, who is either the 7th wife or the 8th. In the press reports there is a number variance. Entertainment Weekly says that Larry King has had eight wives, and they list seven ladies by name. The Associated Press said there have only been seven wives for Mr. King. Maybe, Entertainment Weekly is looking into the future, anticipating a future wife for Larry, and predicting.
Why are so many people so ga-ga because Larry King is getting a divorce? The man is 76, old, quite old, and -- Well, I won't go too much into gossip. I leave that to others, but it looks as if Larry has been an old schmuck -- and the wife, though he is twenty six years younger -- according to rumors-- haven't been the ideal trophy wife. They were together for thirteen years and have two kids. Mentioning kids -- after six wives any dude is a kid. This lady before she officially becomes the seventh ex intends to try to take old Larry to the cleaners. But Larry is resisting . But he might have to pay the piper. The best to you, Larry, you old mook. Love your show.
