Detectives are investigating the ex-girlfriend.

The AP reports -- "Sheriff's detectives in Los Angeles are checking extortion allegations against Mel Gibson's ex-girlfriend."

So now the law is looking at her, the ex-girlfriend, Russian singer Oksana Grigorieva. His lawyers said she was shaking him, Mel Gibson, the big mega-star, down for money. They are still looking at him. She told detectives earlier this month that he physically abused her in January. Neither he nor her has been arrested or charged with a crime. They have an infant daughter and they are fighting in court for custody of the child, and about money. So much of everything is about money.

As for the slanderous audio-tapes (and abuse photos), shock dump, dumped on that web site, that I will no longer refer to by name, the broader press is now referring to the dump, as the alleged Gibson tapes. Everyday that dump site keeps dropping a dump load, and the stuff they drop seems more and more outrageous to the point of stretching credibility beyond belief.
