I can't wait for the next reality show to hit TV. According to PEOPLE magazine and other sources, Levi and Bristol are trying to get their own reality TV show. They are "Great American Heroes" for sure. The sad part about the alleged reality TV show that it will focus on the entire family, including their 3-year-old son Tripp.
Despite that, I'm still enthusiastic about the show because in a life short of real life heroes, Levi Johnston is a hero for our times and his story is truly inspirational. First, Levi knocked up the Governor's daughter. He did step up to agree to marry her after losing an arm-wrestling match with Bristol Palin's snow-mobiling champion father, Todd Palin. (I've heard that all footage of the arm-wrestling match was destroyed to protect the Palins' reputation. Their media gurus did not want the world to see Todd strong-arming Levi). After losing the arm-wrestling contest, Levi Johnston then appeared on national television with the girl (Bristol Palin for those who have been living a cave for the last couple of years) and held her hand for the world to see while wearing a suit instead of a hockey jersey.
Amazing. Truly inspirational and sweet.
I am sure that thousands of Americans cried at the sight of the young un-wed couple being forced into an engagement neither wanted for the purpose of political gain and power. Others shouted at the TV in anger but that is probably more than likely as a result of Tourette's Syndrome than any real anger at the Palins or anyone associated with them because they are such a PERFECT family.
Then, after the pressure was off Levi to marry Bristol because the arm-wrestling match was nullified by the voters' rejection of Sarah Palin as VP, Levi decided to share himself in a very special way- he bared all to America- men and women alike by appearing nude in Playgirl Magazine. As Chris Crocker can attest to, it is not easy being a gay icon from small town America, but Levi Johnston did it and earned the respect (or at least the appreciation) of gay men everywhere.
Now that his former future mother-in-law Sarah Palin is considering a run for president, Levi Johnston is eager to capitalize on his fame as a gay icon and has decided to re-align himself with the Palins. He and Bristol have reconciled after he apologized to the Palin family for aligning himself with the gay community. No date has been set yet, but there is talk of a wedding. Rumor has it that Sarah Palin has yet to give her blessing to the up-coming nuptials and I'm sure her minions are waiting with baited breath.
