With Wife, Mariah Carey by his side, Nick Cannon has been hospitalized in Aspen for what they couple is calling “mild kidney failure, according to People Magazine.
Cannon and his super star wife Mariah Carey spent the holidays in Aspen. At some point Cannon began experiencing symptoms of acute kidney failure and consequently was admitted to the hospital there.
"Please pray for Nick as he's fighting to recover from a mild kidney failure. #mybraveman," Carey posted to her Twitter account on Wednesday. In addition to the posting, she also added a photo of the resting Cannon in his hospital bed and Mariah helping him to drink water.
Later Carey added this to her website: "Last year it was me attached to the machines (after having dembabies) and Nick was there with me through it, and now here we are." In addition she stated, “We are trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful…I am not trying to make light out of the situation because it is a serious moment that is very tough on all of us so please keep us and our family in your prayers.
Hospital staff is said to have tried to kick Mariah out of Nick’s room so he could rest, but she was having none of it. Carey also lamented on her blog that they were”Straaaaanded in Aspen, but as long as they are together, they are ok.
Carey who is 41 and Cannon, 31, were seen out in Aspen on New Year’s Eve. Recently the happy couple became first-time parents to twins, Moroccan and Monroe. The babies were born on April 30 of this year.
No further information has been released concerning the extent of the disease of the prognosis.
