Can You Tell Which Drunk Muppet is Lying?

Add Comment

Late Night LiarsLate Night LiarsAn entirely new crew of  Muppets are going to be boozing it up on "Late Night Liars", which is a new TV show that is reported to be a strange kind of mix between "The Muppet Show", "To Tell the Truth" and "Hollywood Squares". The show looks a little weird, so I am not quite sure if it will be a rousing success or not.

Stephen Baldwin is Waiting for Your Donations

Stephen BaldwinStephen BaldwinI am obviously not an Evangelical Christian and don’t know if most Evangelical Christians tithe each year; if not, they may have a little extra cash to donate to the down-hearted and idiotic among their flock- namely, Stephen Baldwin. You may recognize Stephen Baldwin as the formerly cute Baldwin from "Threesome" or from his exploits in a celebrity episode of “Fear Factor”.

Courtney Love: Call Me Courtney Michelle Instead

Please Call Me Courtney Michelle Instead.....Please Call Me Courtney Michelle Instead.....

Courtney Love is dead. Or so the singer herself claims.

Courtney, who has always been a bit different from other girls,  is now referring to herself in the third person and believes that she, Courtney Love, is loved on stage, but not loved anywhere else. As a resident in a city where over half of the population still blames her for husband Kurt Cobain’s suicide, I can say that there may be some truth to her claims.

Mayor Ambitions

Rahm EmanuelRahm EmanuelWhite House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel seems to be a fellah with too much time on his hands. He is speculating about a new job, when he still has his old one -- or has he? Rumor was that he wanted to return to the House of Representatives and one day become speaker.  It has been widely reported in the press that when he left the House to work in the White House, he negotiated with Democratic leaders an agreement for him to keep his House seniority. Now, Mr Rahm Emanuel is looking for something different -- The top Chicago job? Mayor of  Chicago?

Don't Shut Dat Space Program Down

Add Comment

Last night, Wednesday, April 14th, the skies over several  Midwestern states, beginning around  10 p.m were filled with a light show. What was it? Press reports are pointing to an apparent meteor — or possibly a piece of returning space junk — what ever it was, it illuminated the night sky, going from west to east, before it went out like a fire ball.

There was no sign of any "touch down,"  no debris, no remains hitting the ground, not anywhere in the Midwest, but, according to press reports,  " in some sections of the region, where the object was sighted, homes and trees shook and sonic booms were heard." So this wasn't mass imagination at work, photographic record withstanding.

All I have to say about this is this: President Obama, keep that space program going. We may have to one day defend the planet against you know who.

Will Toyota change its name to Al-Qaeda Motors?

Bin LadenBin Laden

The AP reports that Toyota says it is going to conduct safety tests of all its sport-utility models after Consumer Reports warned that the 2010 Lexus GX 460 has possible roll-over problems, and warned its readers not to buy the Lexus GX 460. Having no choice Toyota stopped selling  the Lexus GX 460. Well, who was going to buy them? And Toyota being Toyota has not recalled any of the 6,000 Lexus GX 460 that it has already sold.  Why am I posting this?

Larry King, you old mook

Larry KingLarry King

Why am I writing about Larry King? I like the Larry King Show on CNN, a staple, and before that I liked Larry King's show on radio. Yes, he has been talking on TV and radio for so long, and looking and sounding so sensible, that  lot of folks think that he is wise. Well he looks wise, doesn't he?

This a post is not about Larry King's show. It is another post about what people are talking about. One of the things people are talking about this morning is Larry King's divorce from his current wife, who is either the 7th wife or the 8th. In the press reports there is a number variance. Entertainment Weekly says that Larry King has had eight wives, and they list seven ladies by name. The Associated Press said there  have only been seven wives for Mr. King. Maybe, Entertainment Weekly is looking into the future, anticipating a future wife for Larry, and predicting.

Justin Bieber, Tina Fey, and the Cougar v. Puma Debate

Justin BieberJustin BieberJustin Beiber is everywhere I look and I really have no idea how this Canadian became such a sensation.

Last Saturday, he was on SNL live as possibly the youngest performer to hit the stage since the days of Menudo. He was in an SNL “Hot for Student” skit with Tina Fey hot for the young star in her classroom. I can’t say if the skit was better or worse than the “Van Halen’s’” “Hot for Teacher” music video back in the day, but I'm thinking that the original edges out Tina Fey's version, but only slightly.
